Website Launch!

28 May 2015

The Vermont Public Safety Broadband Commission is excited to announce the launch of our outreach  website. The purpose of the site is to keep Vermont's first respondeder community engaged throughout the planning process for FirstNet's National Public Safety Broadband Network.  Vermont's planning and outreach efforts have begun and are focused on working with first responders to gather feedback about unique communications challenges, coverage and capacity needs, and user requirements.

Participation from Vermont's first responder community will provide the critical inputs needed for Vermont's participation in the national Public Safety Broadband Network. Our work depends upon the engagement and input by the Vermont First Responder Community. The most important way to engage right now is to make sure your public safety entity has submitted data for the mobile broadband survey. This data will be part of a national Request for Proposal. Click here for more information about the survey.

We hope you enjoy the website. Contact us with any questions: 802-241-5535.

The FirstNet project is housed within the Radio Technology Services unit of the Department of Public Safety.
